| "It was a real pleasure and joy
to have hosted three international visitors from France and Morocco. I could not
have asked for better homestay participants. They were like my family and I
still regard them as such. We still continue to communicate by phone and e-mail
at least twice a month. I have had invitations to visit them in their countries
and I am told my 'room is ready and waiting.' I have received lovely gifts and
lasting friendships." |

“John and I both want to express to you how delighted we are to be associated
with your program. We have been hosts for foreign guests now for five years.
When people ask us why we do this, we always say 'Because it's so much fun and
because we meet the nicest people!'That's
the truth—we always learn something new—usually, lots of new things, and we
always have fun just talking with our guests. Mostly, we gain a new perspective
on what it means to be an American, from the viewpoint of people who are not.
At this time of introspection, since the tragedy
of September 11, we feel that the most patriotic thing we can do for our country
is share what a great place this is, with foreign visitors. As Americans, we are
all truly blessed, and John and I feel an obligation to share this with others.
It's nice that we are able to enjoy the process so much, because of programs
like yours, which make it happen!
We remain friends with almost all of our foreign
visitors, and now have lots of friends all over the world. Participation in your
program is one of the best things we have ever done!" |

"The pleasure derived from being a host has been far beyond my expectation. At
the outset I envisioned accommodating students and essentially providing for
them meals and some conversation. Conversely, it has turned out to be a
family-type situation where I have become so bonded with the students in such a
short period of time. I think about them as my own and I miss them after they
leave. Through phone calls and e-mails we remain in touch." |
— Alvin Grant of Maryland |
"We are truly in a win-win situation. The experience is out of this world. As a
family we have grown in ways that we couldn't even imagine." |
— Brinda Westbrook of Alexandria, VA |
"Just Like Home is a true partner. In referring our students to Andrea Grant and
the services that she provides, we know that she will treat each individual with
her special brand of caring and concern for their homestay experience in the
United States.
We have seen the devotion she has towards making each placement the 'right' one
and we are so thankful to have someone with her level of professionalism
providing this much needed service to our students!" |

"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for all you did for Miguel Angel
and his daughter when they were in D.C. He said he really had a good time with
you because you were so WONDERFUL!! With both of them! You found a nice family
and they were very happy with them!! Thanks again for everything!!" |
Amanda Bautista (Agent), Bogotá Colombia |
"Just Like Home is awesome! Their homestay service is personalized, professional
and very responsive. Our students are very happy with the level of genuine care
and attention. Adjusting to another culture and language can
be difficult, but with the help of Just Like Home, our students are adjusting
well to the American culture and learning English with greater ease and
comfort." |
